Entry Bar: 2 Time Frame: 5 minute chart Entry Green Line: 34.16 Stop Red Line: 33.72 Result: .25 to .54 Setup Grade:B Notes: All the insurance companies where moving this morning...took UNH for a quick play.. was also available on the pullback. Scale as you go especially with that strong 2nd bar.. Would have like more room on the Daily chart but still a strong stock.

Entry Bar:2 Time Frame: 5 minute Entry Green Line: 28.24 SHORT Stop Red Line: 28.73 Result: Small stop Setup Grade:B- Notes: This wasn't a very good setup from the get go. The trade still went my way but I missed trailed my stop by a penny. First there was support on the daily chart and should have passed. I jumped a little with the weak market and nice red opening bar. After scaling out I should have moved my top to 28.32. I typed in 28.30 by accident and was stopped out by a penny. Great example of double checking your orders. KLAC never once hit at 28.32 and traded as low as 27.70

While I've said Day Trading is the greatest game ever invented, having to compete with and out think thousands of traders world wide. All while maintaining your discipline through patience and focus, nothing compares to the game of war...the game of combat.
This new 10 part mini-series called the PACIFIC is a true story much like the series BAND OF BROTHERS. About real heroes who fought across the Pacific Ocean for this great country in World War II. The war wasn't won in a day, or a month or even a year....it took many years and multiple setbacks but the perseverance was unstoppable.
This is no different in becoming a successful day trader. Take it one day at time (much like the Americans took it one island at a time). Don't look at the $$$ just focusing on learning and taking baby steps (a doctor doesn't become a master surgeon in a month)....much like the turtle and the hair..too many traders get whipped out thinking its a sprint and not a marathon.
Entry Bar: 2 Time Frame: 15 minute Entry Green Line:27.33 Stop Red Line: 28 Result: .23 to sell at end of day or stop to entry Setup Grade:B Notes: Big stop so buy less shares. I was looking to scale out at the 20SMA and then hold for the remaining of the day. Stop moved to entry. Nice gap after 'extended daily chart". When I fade I look for quick exits as you are technically fighting the trend.

Entry Bar: 2 Time Frame: 5 minute Entry Green Line: 27.80 Short Stop Red Line: 28.15 Result: Stop Setup Grade:B Notes: Always getting questions like "do you have losing trades"....everyone does its part of the game. What separates the winners from the losers is how you manage them.
Gap up into 5th up day, over extended with bearish red first bar on the 5 minute chart....looking to exit some at high of previous day and gap fill. Nice setup but they don't all work out and this is why you STICK to your stop, there is always another day and another trade.
