NQ emini - two trades

Was looking to short today....market didn't get much of a pop off 8:30 news and the markets where weekend over night...plus with big run up my leaning was a pullback. Two trades....a small loss and a winner. There where several other short opportunities as well.

First trade - a gap and go

Notes: 60 minute chart grinding up with the daily chart as well. Strong pre-market, overseas markets strong, market steady on the 8:30 news and strong gap up. Nice hammer back off the 200SMA.

Two Trades: Win & Loss - NQ Emini breakdown

Notes: After the run up yesterday was looking for a pullback. 8:15 AM ADP report weaken the market so was looking for a short opportunity after the open. Prefered NQ over the ES since it was the weaker of the two indexes. Stopped out on first trade with small stop. Took it again and this time widen my stop with less contracts. Goal was 2000 or near 600sma.

Notes: Market gapped up and then the positive 10AM report hit, marekt was trending all day. Here is one of several places to get long. All about patience. I like to both guage the NQ and ES NQ had already run 20 point on its ADR was looking for it to hit 30 which it tends to do on bullish days. A suckers day for trying to fade, too much good news (over seas markets, bottom of a consolidation, and 10 AM news)
